(AT&T, Verizon, Sprint, T-Mobile, Virgin & Alltel)
Surfing around on Nokia’s Nseries site I discovered something really interessting.
twibble – this is the first time I see something useful in the twitter service. With twibble you’re able to combine the idea of twitter to send sort messages to your friends and your location data. So twibble answers not only the question what you’re doing, but also where you are.
twibble uses the internal GPS of the Nokia N95 (and maybe of the Siemens SX75) or another device supporting J2ME’s Location API and sends the position to twittervision and twittermaps. Other devices use the city name for the positioning.
twibble enables location-based micro-blogging.
Twitter is a social SMS service which let your friends know what you’re doing.
You can tell your friends about what you’re doing by sending a SMS, via instant messenger or web.
There is really big hype about this service at the moment and a lot of similar services are launching all over the world. Some of them are:
When we talk about Mobile 2.0 we have also to consider the development of other mobile technologies. As mobile phones and PCs grow together more and more (eg. Apple’s iPhone or the Nokia N95) PCs and phones shift together.
The video perfectly shows how the future could look like. Very nice!

It seems to become quite common to create widgets for the mobile phone. Where does so (I will introduce this product later) and now another company starts with widgets for the mobile market.
Mobio makes mobile lifestyle applications, is written as first sentence on the companies about site. This sounds great and let us expect nice widgets.
Due the fact that I’m Austrian and therefore use an Austrian carrier I wasn’t able to test the application, so I have to trust this paragraph:
A special feature of the GetMobio lifestyle portal is something we call mobile collections. Each collection represents something you like to do while you are out and about, like “Stepping Out” or “Outwitting the Kids”. Use the collections we give you “as is” or create your own here on the web, using our dead simple self-publishing tools. The GetMobio service is available for no additional fee and works on most makes and model of popular model phones include the Motorola RAZR V3 and Samsung BLADE. Suddenly your mobile phone isn’t just for talking and for texting. It’s for living.
This really sounds great and I would like to test and use it in Europe as well!
